Antonis (Athens, b.1998) is a Greek artist based in London. He navigates painting as an expanded philosophical and material practice. His work primarily explores freedom and the essence/rhythm of being.

Inspired by quantum mechanics, general relativity, Taoism, Aristotle and lived experience; he considers the space where polarities are not mutually exclusive but complement each other.

Currently, his focus is ontological interrelation. Exploring the in-between entities or events, he cultivates respect and love as qualities within this framework.

His intentions in this continuing investigation include overcoming the current perceptions of painting: first, in terms of conception, materiality and production; then, presence and experience of the work itself; and finally the way and poetic timing through which said work emerges into the wider ecosystem of contemporary art.

“Friend we’re travelling together.
Let me show you
one tiny spot of the beauty that cannot be spoken.”   Rumi
